Ham Radio Technician License Class Saturday, March 1, 20258:00am to 4:30pm* HARC will be hosting a one day Technician Class licensing session on board the USS Hornet. The class will be taught by Rich Harrington KN6FW and Paul Shinn K6FRC. There is a $15 fee for the exam and a $35 licensing fee to the FCC. NOTE: Applicants must first obtain a FRN number from the FCC in order to attend the class and take the exam. You can register for a FRN number here: https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/support/knowledge-base/universal-licensing-system-uls-resources/getting-fcc-registration Study materials for the class can be downloaded at: RDF-SF.org and go to "library" and then "Tech Class 2024" to download the study materials. *Note: Class will start at 8:00am in the ship's wardroom and it is recommended that all class attendees arrive by 7:30am.
